POST-OP TRICK TO HELP STOP BLEEDING
If you're noticing pressure and gauze packs aren't getting the job done, soak a tea bag in warm/hot water for a minute or so. Black tea is a great choice because it has more tannins than other types of teas.

-
Allow the tea bag to cool slightly, squeeze out some of the water and place the tea bag over the extraction site.
-
Gently bite on the tea bag for at least 5 minutes. Up to 15 if bleeding is heavy. The pressure and the tannins help to form a blood clot in the tooth socket.
-
Remember to eat soft foods, drink plenty of water, stay ahead of pain medication
(600 mg of Advil/Ibuprofen + 325 mg of Tylenol/Acetaminophen taken together every 8 hours), and get your rest. Your body is in recovery mode, so take it easy!

DENTAL PRODUCTS THAT ARE WORTH IT:
Probably one of my most asked questions is: "What are your favorite dental products?"
Here are a few: they are not paid sponsors, just products that I love, have in my own home, and use regularly.
